Thanks Jesus, leading us all the way to God's promised land. As adults, because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. (Romans 5:2)
So, how about our children? Won’t we also bring them with us into the land flowing milk and honey? When God led Israelis out from Egypt, the Pharaoh asked Moses “Who exactly will be going with you?” And Moses replied “We will all go – young and old, our sons and daughters, and our flocks and herds. We must all join together in celebrating a festival to the Lord.” (Exodus 10:9) YES, we will bring “young and old, our sons and daughters” out of Egypt (this world) with us.
Since you are saved by God now, so how about your children? YES, we will bring them to Jesus too. Let our family be Jesus occupied. Let our parenting be Jesus focusing. When we put Jesus at the center of our family, all other things will be all RIGHT, including your children’s relationship with God.
There are so many distractions and temptations out there in this world, you can pray for your heart and against the enemies, but how about your children? YES, let them know God’s words and receive God’s love. So that they can also enjoy God’s grace and be protected by the mighty one. In Exodus 10, the Pharaoh changed his mind and didn’t allow Israelis bring their children with them. “Pharaoh retorted, “The LORD will certainly need to be with you if I let you take your little ones! I can see through your evil plan. Never! Only the men may go and worship the LORD, since that is what you requested.” And Pharaoh threw them out of the palace.” (Exodus 10:10-11) The devil knew that if only he can control your children, he can control you and the future. The Israelis will come back to Egypt for their children one day. So let your children know Jesus and make Him as their Lord and Savior.
This is just the end of the beginning.
And we are approaching the beginning of the end.
