The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ... Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!”
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.
My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. What you learn from them will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck.
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
It is vain for you To rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.
Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.
He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!
The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country； Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks； Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl； Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
你在城里必蒙福，在田间也必蒙福。 由你身所生的，从你地所产的，牲畜所下的，都必蒙福。 你的果篮和你的搓面碗都必蒙福。 你出也蒙福，入也蒙福。
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God:
The LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.
And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
The LORD says, “It was my will that he should suffer; his death was a sacrifice to bring forgiveness. And so he will see his descendants; he will live a long life, and through him my purpose will succeed.
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all.
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself.
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
