And Jacob their father said to them, "You have bereaved me of my children: Joseph is no more, and Simeon is no more, and now you would take Benjamin. All this has come against me."
The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.”
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD!
My soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities have passed.
Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength ... For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes.
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”
We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
LORD said: “Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them."
Habakkuk asked the Lord: "How long, O LORD, must I call for help? ... " Lord's reply: "... If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed."
Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.
I am not sorry that I sent that severe letter to you, though I was sorry at first, for I know it was painful to you for a little while. Now I am glad I sent it, not because it hurt you, but because the pain caused you to repent and change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way.
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
虽然无花果树不发旺，葡萄树不结果，橄榄树也不效力， 田地不出粮食，圈中绝了羊，棚内也没有牛； 然而， 我要因耶和华欢欣， 因救赎我的神喜乐。
Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!
This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
From six disasters he will rescue you; even in the seventh, he will keep you from evil. He will save you from death in time of famine, from the power of the sword in time of war. You will be safe from slander and have no fear when destruction comes. You will laugh at destruction and famine; wild animals will not terrify you.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends."

When Joseph was taken to Egypt by the Ishmaelite traders, he was purchased by Potiphar, an Egyptian officer. Potiphar was captain of the guard for Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. The LORD was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.
“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’”
She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” ... And Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.
Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, ...... And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he does shall prosper.
不跟从恶人的计谋，... 这人便为有福！... 他要像一棵树栽在溪水旁，按时候结果子，叶子也不枯乾。凡他所做的尽都顺利。
Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
